PHYSICAL THERAPY
Physical Therapists (PTs) are movement experts who optimize quality of life through prescribed exercise, hands-on care, and patient education.
Physical therapists teach patients how to prevent or manage various conditions for optimal physical wellness & long-term health. PTs examine each individual and develop a plan, using treatment techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability. In addition, PTs work with individuals to prevent the loss of mobility before it occurs by developing fitness and wellness oriented programs for healthier and more active lifestyles.
Ketchikan Physical Therapy focuses on assessing biomechanics while viewing the human body as a whole, versus one body part at a time, through an integrated lens. The goal is to help clients regain trust in their body’s innate ability to self heal. Whole body health is valued, including the mental and spiritual, with the understanding that the layers are interconnected and cannot be separated from our physical health.
Ketchikan PT combines traditional physical therapy modalities with complementary and alternative modalities (CAM) such as Yoga and Craniosacral Therapy as tools to realize whole body health.
