DR. AMANDA schuler
Amanda is the owner and founder of Ketchikan Physical Therapy. She is a licensed Physical Therapist with over 19 years experience + Certified Yoga Teacher + Craniosacral Therapist. She grew up in rural Pennsylvania and graduated from PT school in 2006. She became a traveling therapist shortly after which eventually brought her to Ketchikan in 2010. She instantly fell in love with this beautiful island and community. She loves helping individuals find their unique strength while cultivating a healthy balance in their lives. She is passionate about living healthily, mindfully, and with a sense of joy! She loves all things outdoors, connecting and playing outside including adventures of all kinds. Some of her epic adventures have included hiking from Mexico to Canada via the Pacific Crest Trail and kayaking 1,300 miles along the Inside Passage of Alaska. She lives in Ketchikan with her son, & beloved dog where she cultivates a life of simplicity and authenticity.
Her professional experience is well-rounded with a primary focus on Outpatient Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Care including:
Working with recreational and competitive endurance athletes of all ages with movement dysfunction or pain limiting performance
Post-surgical patients
Patients with chronic pain and inflammation
Geriatric patients with balance and mobility challenges
Clients who are curious about or in need of Craniosacral Therapy and/or Myofascial Release
Clients who are proactive about their health and would like a body/movement analysis to prevent injury

With over a decade of experience and depth of knowledge in anatomy, kinesiology, myofascial tissue, and various treatment options, Amanda can help you get back to doing what you love, fast! With her one-on-one undivided attention she will work with you to heal and maintain a pain free life while expanding your physical freedom and potential.
